THE BRIEF

To launch one of Honor’s flagship phones - View20, the client needs a campaign and responsive website (responsive on both mobile and desktop) that acts as a content hub to include all its related campaigns, from teaser campaigns, to live-stream launch events, to partnerships brands like Marvel Studio and Moschino. The key objective is to drive traffic to participate in different virtual events and create buzz for the new phone.

It’s futuristic, it’s majestic. It allows you to see beyond and rediscover possibilities in the world unseen.


It’s the power of the unseen.

With this in mind, we want to craft the product launch into an experience with different possibilities. The team has set the theme of the campaign in this “world of unseen” in a galaxy to make it as majestic as possible. To do this, we need to know what the client is trying to communicate to the users:

defining our User

Our target audience for this flagship phone model is the /Slash generation who seek the best and latest and are always on the move. They grew up in the world of fast-moving connected technologies and speak the language of the social and digital universe.

design process:
Exploring the Unseen Universe

To start with, we’ve started working from sketches and mockups to see which experience and flow would be best for the users. We want to create something engaging for the users to interact with while learning the key features of the phone. We’ve explored different possible scenes on how and what users may encounter in space. We’ve also put together some visual imagery to work on how each of the planets will look like - based on the content of the partnerships and events.

 
 

A moodboard was also created to get a visual perspective on the overall tonality.
We want to achieve the futuristic and vibrance to match the branding as well.

 
 

Introducing:
The unseen universe

Adopting Honor View 20’s campaign “See the Unseen”, we’ve created a campaign site named “The Unseen Universe”. The Universe has a total of 8 planets that bring users to different virtual launch events.

We had decided to turn the experience into a fun interactive mini-game. “Aventura Cluster” - a cluster that brings you into a portal to tease the phone launch highlighting its key selling points - the All-View Display and 48MP zoom feature.

Once the user jumps into the hyperspace, the user is immersed in a 360º space where they can discover rare and unseen planets, and get a chance to win the new phone.
